...a random name thought up by 23 year old Katrina. How the name came to be, I’m really not sure. Possibly a love of home grown tomatoes from our garden and a good ol’ cup of tea. I am British, after all.

I joined the crafty revolution in 2005 when I saw the most amazing crocheted Katamari Damacy hat and wanted to make hats of my own. At the time I was in my second your at university and so didn’t have a lot of time to spend on my new found love of making hats.

After finishing university in 2007 with a 2:1 in Computer Visualisation and Animation, I had no real idea what I wanted to do. After many (failed) interviews and months job hunting I decided to open up TomatoTea on Etsy, selling my own handmade creations, as well as some select supplies for other crafters. A few more months had passed and TomatoTea.net was born so that I could have a stronger presence on the big ol’ Internet.

I’m still looking for that elusive career, whilst earning some pocket money from my own creations as well working a part-time job.

When I’m not feeling crafty, I like to go for walks in my favourite places, take amateurish photographs with a Polaroid SX-70 and drive around in George, the mini.
